You approach the tree and pick an apple. It is bright red, and unnatrually perfect. Hesitantly, you bite into it. The apple is juicy, flavorful, and unbelievably delicious, and you quickly devour the entire apple. It is very filling, and you do not see the need to eat any more.
[[Move away from the apple tree->Start]]You decide to head back to the house where you came from. [[Wake up->Start]]You approach the old laptop. It is covered in a thin layer of dust, and you wonder if it will even turn on. You brush aside the dust, and time seems to slow down when you stare at the blank screen. You boot it up, and suddenly a music video starts playing.

[[Take the left path->Tbd2]]You set along the left path. The path begins descending, and you notice that the courtyard is set on top of a huge mountian. The map mentioned that the door will appear in the wall, so you plan to head towards the giant looming wall in the distance. You are absorbed in your thoughts until you reach what appears to be a rope bridge. However, the bridge has been cut and a chasm stands between you and your destination. You feel a moment of panic, and then you remember the note on the back of the map. You have been cursed with invulnerability. You will not die when you fall. You step back and take a running start. You leap off of the ledge.
[[Continue->rip]]You open the door and step inside. The interior is dimly lit and it smells faintly of mildew. The walls and floor are made of rotting wood. You are faintly disturbed and turn back to the door to exit, but you find it locked. Panic fills you as you look around the dark room. The only furniture is a rickety wooden table in the corner. The floorboards creak under your weight as you venture towards the table. The table is made of wood, just as depreciated as the rest of the room. There is nothing on the table, yet you see a mysterious shadow underneath it. You crouch down to look under the table and you see a trapdoor. After a closer inspection, you notice a message carved into the wood reading, "Return three times, and you will find the key. In your refuge from ice, you will see." You slowly open the trapdoor and see only darkness. All you can see is a ladder leading into mysterious void.
[[Enter the trapdoor->Trapdoor]]You take the right path. The path begins descending, and you notice that the courtyard is set on top of a huge mountian. However, you come to a point where the path is blocked by massive boulders. You feel a sense of despair as you realize that you must turn around. As you climb back up the hill, you see something carved into the cliff face. A simple yet ominous door.
[[Enter the door->aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa]]You approach the nearest house, and you find the door unlocked. Warmth fills you as you enter the house and see a large, inviting fireplace. You sit down in an extremely comfartable chair next to it and soak in the heat. When you feel warm enough, you get up and look around. The house is as empty as the street and you can't help but feel nervous. Where did everyone go? You find a winter coat that fits you perfectly in the closet, but the rest of the house contains nothing of value. You look outside the window to find a heavy snowstorm obscuring your visibility. You sit back down in the chair and consider your options. You can either stay here or leave.
[[Stay->Tbd3]]
[[Leave->Outside]]You look around to see the island has a tree, and a dock with a rowboat. You make your way to the dock and look in the rowboat. Inside, you see an old and faded paper map. You cannot make out what the map is of. However, there are words hastily scrawled on the paper. It reads,
//Fall asleep, and things are not as you remember. Nourish yourself, and you end up where you began. Avoid distractions, life is a circle. Time is the only key, do not be discouraged in your travels. There is no escape, there is no//
The rest is of the message smudged out...

After what feels like hours, you emerge into a small clearing where you can stand up. You take a moment to stretch, and feel much better after crawling through a dense jungle. As you look around, the sun is still in the middle of the sky, the same place it was when you started. In addition to this, the surrounding foliage is suspiciously empty of animals. After a short rest, you continue on.
[[Continue->Left3]]You emerge into a familiar courtyard.

[[Take the left path->Left]]You set out on the left path and admire the foliage that lines the dirt pathway. The walls are covered in beautiful flowers and the weather seems extremely pleasant. You find yourself whistling an upbeat tune as you happily walk along the path. You don't care where the path leads, you are overjoyed just to be walking along it. You cannot contain your rising euphoria. Deep inside, something feels wrong. You try to stop yourself, but you only get happier and happier. You start running along the path. Why should you fight the rising happieness? You run faster and faster. You are feeleng better than you have ever felt before in your life. The world blurs around you as you run. You try to stop yourself, but you can't. You run and run and run. Your legs burn and you gasp for breath. Suddenly, the ground falls out from beneath you. The uncontrollable joy vanishes in an instant. You look down and see a vast and turbulent ocean beneath you. Behind you, a rocky cliff rushes by. Before you have time to fully realize the true nature of your situation, you plunge into the icy water. The current slams you into a rock and you feel the wind go out of your lungs. Reality slowly fades into black.

As you fly over the maze, you look for a way out only to see the entire landscape below you shrouded with fog. Suddenly the wind dies any you find yourself falling towards the fog. You scream as you plummet from the sky, only to land in a large, deep lake beneath a canopy of fog. There is no land in sight except for a small island about twenty feet waway. You swim to the island and climb out of the lake, soaking wet.
[[Investigate the island->Island]]You decide not to leave the house. Outside is a snowstorm, and the house offers warmth and safety. The chair you are sitting in is comfortable and you would gain nothing by leaving. You close your eyes and feel your conciousness fading.

You pick yourself up off of the floor and you find that the object you tripped over is a simple oil lantern. You pick it up, and something falls out of it. A map. A map of the maze. The map reveals that the maze is a circle 300 miles in diameter. The maze holds oceans, mountians, deserts, and forests. There are small towns scattered throughout the maze, such as the one you are in, and and there are hundreds of miles of roads between them. At the very center of the map is a courtyard. You turn the paper over, and on it you find a hastily written note.
//If you are reading this, you found my life's work, a map of the maze that us both are trapped in. I thought I was alone here, until one day I met another human. I was overjoyed at first to find someone other than myself, until I realized what that meant. There are hundreds of us, maybe even thousands. Some of us die, but others such as me are cursed with invulnerability, and we can fall asleep and wake up somewhere else. If you are like me, do not fall asleep. This is how they keep you from escaping. Find the door. It will appear in the wall, or where you least expect it. I made another map, before this one, but I had to leave it behind. There are three different courtyards, and each one has different paths. Eating an apple will take you to the original courtyard, and investigating the laptop will take you to the second one. The bench will take you from courtyard to courtyard. For example, sitting down on the bench in the first courtyard will take you to the second courtyard, and sitting on the bench in the second courtyard will take you to the third. The left path in the second courtyard will take you to a door, and that will take you back to the first courtyard. After you have repeated that process three times, return to the original courtyard and take the right path. After this, choosing to stay in the house will trigger the sequence of events that leads to the end of the game. When you wake up in the destroyed courtyard, take the right path. Taking the left path will result in your death. When you step through the door, take the left path from there. The computer will tell you what path to take, and any other option will take you back to the first courtyard. After you take the left path, you will come to the door. If you turn back, you will be sent to the third courtyard. If you enter the door, you will win the game.
